Sustainably Fresh, Always Fly
At Ndáko, sustainability is the heartbeat of our business strategy, weaving through every step of our process. We’re all about making a positive impact while keeping our swag on point. Here’s how we’re doing it:
Caring Instructions: Taking care of your clothes isn’t just smart—it’s sustainable. We lay down the knowledge on why proper care matters and how to keep your threads looking fresh. Extend the life of your gear and rock it longer!
Upcycling: Upcycling is our jam. It means transforming old, worn-out items into something new and fly. This process is crucial for sustainability, cutting down waste and bringing fresh life to what might’ve been tossed aside. Hip Upz is our line that champions this ethos with vibrant African wax-print fabrics.
Projects Motherland: Our partners in Bukavu, DRC, are the soul of our Motherland collection. Ethical production is key—creating and guaranteeing jobs locally while empowering our partners to set their own prices and production times. This ensures living wages and supports local economies.
Operations: We’re all about those eco-friendly details. Our labels are made from cork leather, buttons from cherry wood, and we use biological elastic bands and cords. We’re pushing towards zero waste with biodegradable packaging and limited prints of marketing material. For our Merch collection with Shirtee, we choose Stanley/Stella products for their sustainability creds.
CSR: Every item sold plants a tree worth €5, helping to green the planet. Plus, we’re all about supporting the local Hip Hop community, sponsoring activities, and providing fresh gear to local crews.
Join us in making a difference while keeping it fresh and stylish. Ndáko isn’t just a brand—it’s a movement. Let’s get it!
